LECTRIX management team are seasoned professionals selected for their expertise
in management, technology, finance and electrical power systems.
Chief Executive Officer - Reynold Roeder is a founding officer of LECTRIX LLC. He currently holds 50% of LECTRIX LLC. Prior to joining LECTRIX in October, 1999, he founded and served as President of PacifiCorp Syn Fuel LLC, an IRC Section 29 tax-credit venture that manufactures synthetic coal fuel used in thermal and metallurgical applications. In two years Mr. Roeder took the company from zero to 45 employees and oversaw the construction and operation of four manufacturing plants that have the capacity to generate over $300 million in tax credits over nine years. Previously, Mr. Roeder was vice president of PacifiCorp Financial Services, Inc., the financial services subsidiary of PacifiCorp, where he spent nine years in various accounting and finance positions.Prior to joining PacifiCorp, Mr. Roeder spent nine years with Deloitte & Touche (“D&T”). His last three years with D&T were spent in New York and San Francisco serving in D&T’s Special Acquisitions department. While there, he was assigned exclusively to Kohlberg Kravis Roberts (“KKR”) where he advised KKR on tax and accounting matters associated with leveraged buy-out transactions aggregating over $5 billion. Mr. Roeder is a certified public accountant (inactive). He graduated with honors from Portland State University with a BS in Business Administration.
Mr. Roeder also serves on the Board of Directors of Raser Technologies, Inc. (RZ).
President - Ronald E. Prater is a founding officer of LECTRIX LLC.
He currently holds 50% of LECTRIX LLC. He assumed his present position in November 2001.
Previously, he was Vice President T&D Development of LECTRIX LLC. Prior to joining LECTRIX in 1999, he was Vice President – Strategic Planning at
American Electric Power. He received a bachelor's degree from Muskingum College
in 1972 and a JD degree from Ohio State University School of Law in 1975. Prior to
joining Ohio Power Co. as an attorney in 1976, he was Assistant Attorney General of
Ohio representing the Public Utilities Commission. In 1979, he joined Indiana
Michigan Power Company as its General Counsel. In 1988, he became the Fort Wayne
Division Manager of I&M. In 1994, he became vice president of Kentucky Power.
He was promoted to Vice President –Strategic Planning at AEP in May 1995. He has served in numerous community and professional organizations including:
the Governor’s Committee on Indiana’s Utility Future, the Corporation Business
Modernization and Technology, and Chairman of Science Central. He holds numerous patents and copyrights.
President, LECTRIX Canada - Blaine G. Mersereau has
been active in the energy industry since 1986. He has a BSc Honours
(Geology) degree from Queen’s University and an MBA from Dalhousie University.
In 1989 Mr. Mersereau developed the business plan for one of the first electronic
trading systems for natural gas in North America. This effort resulted in the
development of Energy Exchange Inc.
Since 1986 Mr. Mersereau has held various positions in the energy industry
ranging from a Geological Assistant - Dekalb Energy; Gas Supply Representative -
Direct Energy Marketing; Manager Natural Gas Programs - Trans Alta Energy;
to Vice President Marketing and Origination with Florida Power & Light (West
Palm Beach, Florida). He currently is employed as Manager Commercial
Development with Anadarko Canada Corporation.
Since 1995 Mr. Mersereau has been active in developing many energy related
projects through the operations of B.G. Mersereau Consulting Ltd.
